In classic start menu, you have the normal stuff, Program Files, etc on the bottom, and then a spacer, and stuff on top...

how do u remove spacers within the startmenu?

    Simply move everything from
    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Start Menu
    into the programs folder.

    Also look in
    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu
Basically everything located in the Start Menu folder is shown at the top and everything in the Programs Folder is shown underneath.

I think they're hard coded. They are ther in all start menu variastions, just coloured differently.

As Lord said, they are coded into the visual style.

You're using a visual style (.MSSTYLES). The theme file (.THEME) only applies the visual style and a combination of other things. The classic start menu is included with the visual style.

oh well then...I understand what your saying....

I guess I should find a tweaking forum, cause I'm 100% sure there is away to remove this spacers. I thought someone on here did it before, I must of be mistaken. Hmmm

You can remove it, edit the .MSTYLES file. Download ResEdit.
