LONDON, England (Reuters) -- If you think video games are engrossing now, just wait: PlayStation maker Sony Corp. has been granted a patent for beaming sensory information directly into the brain.

Wow... I've always wondered when Smell-O-Rama television would arrive to us... and How it would be... That sounds like the future! Wow, that is something. Can you think of all the applications for such an invention if they ever make it?

I'm just thinking how much the army is drooling at the idea right now... Deep Sea exploration, advanced remote surgery tools where the doctor will actually FEEL what the robot's hands are touching and smell the wounds (ewwww). and the porn industry... humm... Very interesting
