Some explorer links are dead

As administrator Windows Explorer works perfectly fine. However, if I create a limited user account it only works partially. This is what happens...

Some links do nothing, some links result in a window that opens up and is blank and other links work just fine.

Further investigation revealed the following interesting quirk. If I type in an URL manually in the address-field and press the GO-button, nothing happens if I leave off the final slash.

That is, the following work fine:
1 -> http://www.yoursite.com/
2 -> http://www.yoursite.com/index.htm

But this does NOT work:
3 -> http://www.yoursite.com

This is exactly what is happening to the links defined within my browser pages, eg. do NOT work if example 3 is true.

Anyone know what is happening?

Is there really no one out there who can help me? This problem has been driving me crazy...

Guess not. Oh well, I will have to continue my search elsewhere...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
