Slow loading sites, why?

Ok i have a problem, for some reason www.blizzard.com and sometimes gamespot and other sites like rpgdot.com loads SLOW AS HELL for me. And I know for sure it has to be a problem on my end because everyone i ask, inside and outside of my network can get to the sites just fine. Most of the time it just says the site is down or something, or it just loads very slow, or it takes a whole lot of retrys to get it to load. (when it says the site is down to double check i always ask someone within my network) My cache is set a pretty modest area, plenty of space for it. So any other ideas? Also using IE6 with latest updates.

hmmm, first start of with the easy stuff:
clear cookies, temp files, history, etc... reboot, see if that helps. also, give more info on your browser, windows, etc..

Its IE6 with all the updates, and windows xp corp with sp1 and all updates since sp1

what type of connection do you have? dial-up? dsl? cable?

in addition, could you list your 'puter's specs?
