Err, I dont understand how this could be? Is this like sods law?

I have a secondary hard drive:

I have a folder and within that folder, there are 400 sub folders and every time I try and view them, it takes a while to load. But! before, I had like 700 and it loaded as soon as I clicked. Whats the deal? Is there any way to rectify this?

Or is...no, dont say it is so :dead:

Alright, nevermind, would of deleted this but cant.

    I found out the reason:

I have WMP11 monitoring that folder and its lagging it up. Damn.

Arrrrrrrrgh! Its lagging up again and WMP11 isnt monitoring folders and I deleted all the play list and database files created in the:

    C:\Documents and Settings\i\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player

    Directory.

Is this a sign that I need to replace this hard drive?
