I have looked at several methods that have been posted on various sites for sliptreaming SP1 for the XP OS and I am currently waiting with baited breath for Bink to complete his promise of a super duper all inclusive ultimate XP Boot CD.

The only problem I am going to have with this...is that a file that resides in the "WIN9XMIG UPG" sub folder of the "I386" folder will not allow me to copy the whole of my XP Pro CD to a folder of my creation...be it a folder on the Root of C: or on any other partition on my system.
Can any of the honorable experts in this forum sugest, or point me toward a workaround for this dillema, be it through a command prompt or whatever ??

Dunno. I'm using home & all I did was copy the cd to a folder using windows explorer. Worked OK for me.

Thanx 4 the reply Hipster but there is something, either in my current OS or on my XP Pro CD that is preventing me from copying the CD to a folder. I can manually transfer (copy) everything except that subfolder "WIN9XMIG" of the "I386" folder.

So what's the problem? It's not going to copy the Migration to XP from any 9X Operating System folder. Who cares? The XP +SP1 slipstreamed CD I made is only for fresh installs; it won't upgrade an older operating system. Keep a copy without SP1 for upgrading systems.
