Skype for MacOS

Just spotted the news of "Skype for Windows" on the front page, which I thought was a bit odd, as I thought they only made Skype for windows anyway, however it appears it's also available for Linux now.

Us MacOS users aren't being left out though, I just headed onto the Skype site and found the following information:

On June 16, 2004, there was an internal demonstration at Skype of the alpha version of Skype for MacOS. The alpha version worked well and the development team is working towards a beta launch of Skype for Mac. It will likely take about 2-3 months until release. When Skype for Mac is available, an email will be sent to you through Public Mind to let you know. Thanks for your patience.

Thats cool, I suspect I'd use it quite alot depending on how much £££ they choose to charge

During the beta period Skype is free and helps us to refine and improve our product. Eventually, some features and services of Skype will require a paid subscription or prepayment. Our ambition is to keep the basic functionality of Skype (PC to PC calls) free forever. More information will be provided once our beta program is complete.

It costs to make PC->Phone calls, but that's to be expected really

I'm curious to see what the PC->Phone service quality is like to talk to friends and family back in India.
Might give it a try sometime soon.

Shameless bump, but Beta v0.5 has been released to a select group of testers and apparently is working well... ahem.
