here is mine left most monitor is my work area. right monitor is reserved for winamp playlist only as i have a wireless remote and want to read songs from other areas of rom and change songs accordingly. laptop is running linux mandrake 8.2

Just a guess, but it looks like you have the same scanner as me,
Umax Astra 3400?

If so, have you got the XP software and have you gotten it to work?

its actually a compaq but it is made by umax. i got it for a dollar when i got my laptop. pos dosnt even work half the time. i should have saved my dollar

I have that exact same desk at work. It is my secondary desk that sits behind me where I look at asbuilts. It is a nice desk.
