got my 64 bit 3500 (venice) today will be putting it in with everything later. The Zalman 7700 is one heavy MTF lol. But i think the way the mount it will be perfect. Uses a backplate and just screws onto the board basically.

Ok now for my question. The Zalman 7700 came with a small tube of its own thermal paste (Zalman brand) now im wondering if i should use this or go buy some artic silver.. Like i said this thing requires you remove the mobo to mess with it so i want to do it the best way i can. On the tube it says Zalman thermal grease (CSL 850)

What you guys think?

imho... I have never seen (using Asus probe) any noticeable difference in CPU temp changes when using either artic silver or no-name brand thermal pastes...

and before anyone flames me, yes i know the Asus probe isnt 100% accurate but who cares so long as it is relatively close...

post some pics or screen captures if you plan on OCing..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
