i know this is problaby a stupid question so here goes... is there a way to take an executable file and convert that to a service?

the reason i am asking is I go out and install multifucntional deivces on networks. and there is software that it comes with tha runs in the backround as an application. By converting this application to a service would be very useful. i doubt that it can be done but i wasnt sure. any help would be great thanks!!

From the looks of it, you probably need something like FireDaemon.
Take a look at http://www.firedaemon.com/
that the name of that prog .. couldn't for the life of me remember it this morning ... did a search for daemon but that didn't help :p

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
