I have added a second hard drive .I just plugged it in and XP recognized it but it does not show when I click on "explore".I can't figure out how to use it.Any tips on adding and using a second hard drive or slave would be greatly appreciated.

Did you set it up in the bios?

You need to format it. Right-click on My Computer and click Manage. Click on Disk Management, Find your new drive, right click and select create partition. Once its done, right click and create a logical drive.

While you are in disk management make sure it has been assigned a drive letter.

It is not assigned a drive letter and I was unable to assign it a letter. There is an option "create logical drive", should I click on that?
