Scrolling Kinda Funny

The site's pages seem to be scrolling kind of funny for me. Like a little choppy. Definately not a smooth scroll. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've got the same problem... it's like there is some lag or something. Other sites don't seem to be as bad.

Using IE6 SP1 (or whatever version is with XP SP1)

Seems okay now. I downloaded a bunch of porn from Kazaa, and the scrolling problem on the site went away.

I know I installed Macromedia Flash this afternoon. That might have something to do with it. I've been playing with the settings in PopUpCop a little, trying to adjust Flash for this site.

I'm pretty sure it was the porn that fixed it, though.

If you're using the Orbitz skin, it's caused by the background image (regardless of browser)

What really fixed it for me was blocking Flash movies from the site and then closing the site window, deleting my Temporary Internet Files, and then coming back to the site.

Hmm, don't have that patch yet and no scrolling problem. Think I'll keep it that way.

Weird...was just coming here to post the very same problem. Orbitz Theme = very unsmoove scrolling for me.

My machine is high spec so i dont think it's hardware/driver related.

Shame cos it's the nicer of the two themes..but i am happy with Ekko.

Same here! It can be very annoying having to scroll down or up choppy. But when I switch to the darker theme, it is ok. scrolls smoothly.

I may disable the background for the expanded themes after all, its not really displayed there.

It looks pretty when you use the non-expanded tho ;p
And I can't replicate this choppyness.

Neither can I.. sometimes I think giving the ol' browser cache a flush helps (helps screw it up that is) as sometimes it affects me, others it doesn't. Quite a strange one this.

Ya I have the same problem using both IE6 and Mozilla 1.5

Just have to wait until my slowww dialup service downloads the whole page -- maybe I'll play with a different theme myself and see what happens..

It's much smoother when I disable "use smooth scrolling"? (not really sure if it's the right translation, got a Dutch XP version) under Internet Properties/Advanced
Someone told me that it's better to uncheck this if you have a TFT screen. Maybe it also works on CRT.

Smooth scrolling is plain annoying, and yeah, that's the right translation

Not sure if that would affect it as it's one of the first things I disable on a fresh XP install. Everyone's welcome to try and share the results though
