I got tired of organizing my shortcut files in the Start Menu after reinstalling windows, so I wrote this simple script.
If you're like me and don't want the 'uninstall' and 'read me' shat that is usually strewn about on unorganized systems then you'll love this.
For best results, put all the shortcuts you want to keep inside the 'Programs' folder, then modify my custom filters list inside the script to your liking. Files will be categorized based on keywords inside the filter list then placed in the appropriate directory.
Variations of this script could be great for OEM installations of windows or sorting other types of files. Another great application could be to modify it so that the script runs silently at startup, then your Start Menu will always be sorted.
Enjoy!
