screen goes to hell after 10 - 20 min of pc use...

im using a pc which has an AIW 8500 in it (friend's pc, im taking care of it for a while) and this problem suddenly started happening in windows. it happens after a while of use (usually 10 - 20 min). ive tried tons of things to see what the prob is but i havent figured it out. when i disconnect the screen and put it on another pc it works perfectly, so its not the screen. on the software side ive tried scanning with 3 different AV progs, adaware, spybot, u name it. i reinstalled the ATI drivers as well...nothing works.

any ideas?

maybe the video card is overheating - see if additional cooling measures help (such as taking off the side of the case etc)

yea..your video card is overheating in my opinion. do what champ said, or buy a PCI slot fan and stick it under it.
