is this even possible? if so, what software is needed?
What do you want ? Audio is not synchro with picture ?
There's a tool (though I never used it... no need for me...), IfoEdit, look at www.doom9.org for details and maybe even a tutorial...
the audio is a tiny bit off.
It really depends on why it's out of sync.
Usually it's caused by the audio resampling process (48hHz>44.1kHz). That's harder to resolve, but possible.
Sometimes it is just the audio getting mixed back together, then you have to find out what the advance/delay is and and or subtract silence.
virtualdub won't open VOB files.
i would love to just rip the audio off the vob files but that may be out of my league.
And get the BeSweet GUI also.
I rip audio off of DVD all the time.
i just used tmpgenc and got wav files. seemed to work for me. thanks for the help.
BeSweet allows you to grab any of the available audio streams (LPCM, AC3 etc)
