I dont want anyone on my computer to visit a certain website -

How do I restrict access to that site in XP ? Only that web site...

it's most likely in "administrative tools."

- Thanks

I don't think there is a way to restrict a single website using native XP tools, you'd have to use some type of firewall/nannyware solution to block one website...or you could add that site to your hosts file and make it resolve to a different address

in fact thats probably easiest, you'd have to create a hosts file so that when the site is typed it it resolves to a diff address...problem is it would affect you too and be a pain to manage

hope I helped any

Oops, I guess I shouldn't have added that as an http link, heres the path to the hosts file: c:/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc

Hrm, I see that in my post that there's only a couple spaces between the 127.0.0.1 address and the website to block, in the hosts file I have a total of 5 spaces between the two.

Sorry for the multiple posts.

You can use the parental guards on Internet Explorer.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
