I used notepad to open an .ini file and now it is the default icon. Notepad seems to be associated with every.ini file now. I would like it to go back to default. Does anyone know how to restore the old .ini icon and remove the association to notepad?

Thanks alot

The icon is in:
-- C:\WINDOWS\System32\shell32.dll

Simply launch Explorer
Go to the "Tools" menu
Folder Options
File Types
Find .INI in the list
Click Advanced (you may have to click restore first)
Change Icon
Insert the path/file listed above
Find the icon (located near the recycle bin- old style)

As for the default viewer, Notepad is.

Not a problem, glad I could help.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
