A heads-up thought some might like to know of.

Hopefully the practice of reputation fraud will be getting the close attention it deserves. eBay plan to introduce detailed seller ratings in 2008.

    eBay's new reputation plans

    How do the scams work?

I caught the BBC's Watchdog report on this last night, was pretty damning to eBay if they didn't sort things out soon.
Watchdog have the clout to ruin a company's reputation in England at least by this kind of exposure.
I for one welcome this, as having been victim to an unscrupulous seller with 100% reputation: I currently trust nobody's reputation on eBay.

I think to an extent this has been coming for awhile - probably 6 months back or so I started to notice 1-5 star ratings for things such as accurate product descriptions, shipping costs and other items I can't think of atm.

    I like the idea
