Hi Guys,

I am trying to remove the logon window that pops up when booting up. It ask for username/pass. There is only one user for the machine and there is no password. but it keeps showing up on every bootup. I click OK to continue with bootup.

It is a XPPro laptop from Dell. D610

Thanks in advance,

Heeter

This will work for computers that are not a member of a domain.

Windows XP: Start, Run, "control userpasswords2", OK (The option is at the top).
Windows 2000: Start, Settings, Control Panel, User Accounts (The option is at the top).

Thanks Madmatt,

will try in a bit. Laptop is not in front of me at the moment.

More information --

Windows XP: Highlight the user and then uncheck the box at the top. It'll ask for the password when you click Apply or OK.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
