Removing old icons from the hide/show icons list

How do you remove some of the icons from the "hide inactive icons" list in the task bar properties? I've got a million icons in there, half of which I'll never see again. I'm guessing there's some way to delete them from the registry....

When you right click on the taskbar choose properties and in there you can choose which icons to hide specifically
