removing a sys file?

    i have this file in my system32/drivers directory named iomdisk.sys ... how do i remove it from loading it each time i boot... i removed the application which used it ... but it is still there and shows up in the drivers list ... and is causing shutdown problems ...

    how do i get rid of it ?

    Do you want to move it or get rid of it?
    1/ You could try renaming it.
    2/ Have you looked in msconfig start up list?

    yea i did ...

    i even tried moving it from there but then my XP wouldn't boot ... it actually runs it on statup ... i dunno where to diaable it ... no where in msconifg ...

    Did you try to uninstall your Iomega Zipdrive in device manager?
