How would I go about removing some programs from the taskbar so that when they are open they are not shown down there? Reason is I have installed a second monitor which has have messenger running but since messenger is open all the time it is listed in the taskbar. I want to get rid of that.

Cheers.

Right click the task bar/properties/hide inactive icons/customize. Highlight the one you want then select 'always hide'.

Thanks for your reply but thats not what I mean. That hides icons in the tray. I am talking about the part next to the tray where every-time a program is opened it is listed there. I want to remove messenger from that.

Remove Windows Messenger

Paste in "RUN"

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
