I have tried remote assistance thru MSN without any problem with a friend of mine, worked great!! Tried it with my in-laws PC and I get the following error:

"Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the remote host name could not be resolved. Please try again."

I am on Bell Sympatico DSL high speed and my in-laws have Direcway (DirecPC) two way satellite internet?
Any idea's, I have updated MSN, ran the latestest patches and checked out most of the Microsoft tech articles without any success?
Made sure that the PC is set-up for remote assistance...etc...

does the client have the firewall disabled....you could always use netmeeting go to run and type conf.then type their ip address...have them click on tools sharing...allow desktop sharing...works for me great.if you need more help pm me...be glad to show you how to use it. can even do a video conf.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
