regcleaner need answer quick

    i just ran reg cleaner i had it do everything. should i remove all the registry keys that it found useless. there is a few of them and soem say windows and system 32 type stuff. thanks in advance.

    there is usually no benefit to removing the useless reg keys.

    the idea is that if the registry gets too big, accessing the file becomes slower.

    it's almost never the case.

    you should actually go through the list, and remove the keys that you know are programs you've uninstalled.

    make sure you keep the backup log valid

    in the future, if you have a problem with anything on the box, like restore points, etc, you can re enter whatever you've removed

    so regcleaner is pointless to have. should i use it to do anything?

    it's not pointless

    you can do A scan, and then go through the results, and pick and choose what to delete.

    also, if you're adventurous, you can go ahead and let the cleamer delete all of it's findings, and then make sure you keep the backup.

    when the registry gets too big, it will slow down, but for most users, this will never happen

    so, ya, for most users, a registry cleaner does more harm then good
