Does anyone know how to remove the Recycle Bin from the desk top?
any help would be appreciated!
I dont see anything in the display properties to remove it

Im following Catch23's dirrections. Im running xp. So far I've learned I can change the icon to nothing but its not actually gone.
Sorry. Just looked in there & you are right. No way to get rid of the icon in question. Try doing a forum search.

If you don't wanna download software and maybe want to lose the Bin but keep your "My Computer" icon on the Desktop. You could try this method:-
Make your way here in the Registry:-
and change the last letter into an a
Close the Registry and click "F5"
