How do you wash pillows without going to a dry cleaners.

Well that depends do you mean the pillow itself or the cover? Is it a cotton pillow or a feather pillow?

You must fashion a pillow beater out of bamboo and shape it into the form of a tennis racket. Afterwards, go down to the river side and put the pillow on a large rock then start to beat the pillow with your bamboo pillow beater. You will notice a greenish-brown gas being released from the pillow every time you beat on it. Wear a dust mask because you will also release mites and other pollutants in the pillow-cleaning process. Don't forget to flip the pillow several times and hit it with a spray disinfectant. Allow pillow to dry in the sun for a full day.

if its that dirty follow this simple method.

1.... buy new pillows

2... throw old pillows away

and there you go, nice clean pillows

All my pillows regardless if cotton, poly or feather filled... I simply wash then dry on a low temp with tennis balls in the dryer. You can also do this with down comforters

2) figure the rest out for yourselfs
