can anyone tell me what this is and does, ect.
i just got 265MB RAM today
ramdrives were used in the past (primarily 95 & 98) to gain speed by preloading programs in an allocated memory space. it is supposed to be proven effective in win2k... here is a websight on it..
Hope this helps!
oh, cool, thanks
I use mine for the temp internet files. IE runs superfast. I must warn you though that System Restore gave me LOTS of trouble with my ram drive. All restore points kept getting periodically wiped when the ramdrive got low on space....
dead for almost two years and brought back to life! i think that's a record.
