    do i get 184 pin ram or what?!?!??!?! i dont know what to get for my msi board.

    try describing your mother board (ie... model number???)... 168 pins = sdram, 184 = ddram

    you could also try reading the manual??? or checking the manufacturers website, or counting the pins in the slot...

    eh i just went with crucial 512ddr pc2700
    184pin


    it better work.

    you ordered PC2700, and the core is KT266. the max ram you can support is PC2100. it will still work, but it will just be slower speeds.

    That's not necessarily a bad thing though. At least in the future if you build a new computer, there is a chance you can swap some ram over. :)

    Not greatly slower, the difference usually will not be seen between PC2100 and pc2700 ram...
