I recently dropped the Windows Messenger for the MSN Messenger and since then Outlook has had insane problems loading up into my inbox. What used to take two seconds now takes at least a good 2-3 minutes to fully load up. I was wondering if there's a registry entry or something I could change/edit to get rid of this slowdown. I've got an alternative mail client for the moment, but it's unbearable.

outlook has an option to start windows messenger when loaded. uncheck that and things should speed up. And how did you "drop"windows messenger. How did you remove it.

That option is also unchecked in Outlook.

You can stop Windows Messenger by simply renaming the folder to something else.
