I run a single PC ....do I need to keep this option installed ?

or does this affect P2P ?

QoS

I think it only matters if you run XP Pro, if you uncheck or uninstall QoS it should speed up your internet connection a fair bit.

However in XP Home I don't think it makes the slightest bit of difference.

Although, , Im proberly wrong, so Im sure someone will correct me on this.

P.S. I wouldn't have thought it would affect p2p in anyway.

Disabling QOS has no effect on your network connection. It only is used on QOS capable domains and networks and I don't think you have to worry about it. The myth of disabling QOS was debunked a long time ago.
