Does anybody know why when I play videos (avi, wmv, etc) that i've downloaded, they dont play the full thing. they stop before it gets to the end. like it says the movie is 9:20 long and it only plays like 2 minutes of it. ??

It is because you do not have the complete file, the person you downloaded it from only had a partial file.

ya, thats the person doesn't have the fully movie...but at the beginning of the movie is the coding that says how long it is, so media player will show the movie is like 2 hrs long...yet you only have 5 minutes of it :p

There are various rpograms that can repair incpmplete files for example divxfix, for example which you can get over on http://www.doom9.org
