my sister's computer got hung up so she turned it off manually cause there was no other option.

when it rebooted this error came up. Not sure what it is so I'm asking here

zpn-1 secu remote internel error

not sure if that is the 100 percent right wording but that's what she told me...any help would be appreciated

Might it be this error?

SecuRemote failed to start due to an internal error

Have you tried booting up in Safe Mode? Hold F8 while booting.

sorry...Microsoft XP Home and have no idea if she has SP2 installed or not. I was only able to talk to her once.

Muzi, the computer started normally besides that error

Oh, for some reason I presumed it couldn't boot up all the way. Well, I guess if it does that again you could get her to give you the exact message. That would definitely help. ;)

will find out more info and come back

Maybe "V"pn-1 instead of z? Sounds like something related to SecuRemote VPN Software...she have it on her pc? Could try a reinstall if so.

If she doesn't I would suspect a trojan/backdoor. :x

*edit* - eek it does appear that is indeed what it could be (the vpn software anyhoo) ...
I have been seeing a lot of posts throughout the VPN-1 community regarding
SecuRemote clients attempting to connect from behind a NAT device. None of
them have mentioned the problem I seem to be having though.

SecuRemote always starts fine until I add the site for my management
console. When I add it, the topo download succeeds and all looks
well....until I click the final OK. Then I receive an "Internal Error"
message and SecuRemote process is killed.

Yeah, I think that is the likely suspect.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
