I made a post just now and got this message saying there was an error....

but nothing to tell me what error was...

and a clickable "Okay" which then made the post.

    I'll throw up a screenie..

Probably not anything realy wrong with this, but it looks a bit odd and I am curious what happened behind scenes, I am guessing just a random MySQL bad code - care to confirm that for us X?

I believe I have seen that before.

I think it comes up when you click on the "post" button (or whatever it is, maybe post quick reply), and you get the action item like it is working, more like a swirly circle rather than an hour glass. Then if you click on Post again before it actually posts, while still working, I think it does that.

    Maybe

I will see if it is a known error.

thanks - not a problem, just a peculiar one off (which I am pretty sure was not a double click like Derek suggested, thought that may possibly show same symptoms, for all I know)

Did this happen to be around the top of the hour?

well - I looked at the thread and the timestamp there seems to be nine minutes before the top of the hour...?

    apachectl graceful

Log rotation requires it, so that Apache does not keep it's file handle open to a file, and thus cause it to grow to massive proportions.

As I mentioned I have seen it before, not sure what the time was involved on it. Will try to be more aware next time it happens ;)
