anyone have a good popup blocker?
im losing the battle of the pop up adds here .
thanks in advance.
I've always used Pop Up Stopper Pro. Seems to do the job well...
Meaya is fairly good, but it's not freeware
where can i get pop-up stopper pro?
and can it by-pass java pop-ups?
I use Crazy Browser, a freeware add-on to Internet Explorer that changes IE a bit, but also offers full pop-up protection. Since installation, I've never seen another pop-up.
best by far
Adshield is another good one. I haven't seen a popup ad in a couple years.
give surf on guard a try it is the best that i have seen so far
You could always disable java script within IE, it can cause a few minor problems (depending on the sites you visit of course), but nothing major.
Or if your willing to give an alternative browser a try, both Mozilla (link) and Opera (link) have in-built pop-up blockers.
I used to use the proxomitron but after reading this thread I gave Meaya a try and it was enough for me to uninstall the proxomitron.
i use pop up ad filter which was recomended in this forum quite a while ago! ive neva had problems with it! although like meaya its not freeware!
im using this one
and here a good testpage for your popupkiller
MyIE all the way!!
AdSheild is excellent, and free
Let's not forget Mozilla.
My second try at a good one was Pop-Up Stopper Pro, and I didn't try any after that. So I can't say that it's the best since I haven't tested everything, but it does the job perfectly. Get it here.
PUSP can be downloaded at www.freedownloads.com
