Plextor Burner

I have a Plextor 12/10/32 burner. When I insert a CD, XP does not recognize the new volume label. It reads the CD fine, and if I start XP with the CD in, it recognizes the label. Any ideas?

I would just re-install the aspi drivers, it fixed a couple of my burner problems. You don't have to uninstall anything, just install this set of drivers.

You can get them at http://www.goldenhawk.com/download_body.htm

Try the Golden Hawk ones first and if they don't work, the Adaptec ones are right below them.

also make sure you have all the cd patches, including the one on the front page. I had that same problem for awhile..then oddly enough when I replaced my shell32.dll with my own customized one it went away...no clue on how that happened lol
