Re: help me pick my new ride

400 Small Block at 406 .030 over
12.5:1 Matched balanced pistons.
Steel forged Marine Crank.
Balanced H beam connecting rods
750 CFM Holley DP
Oversize valves, hollow intake, twin spring.
Converted Accel high energy ignition
Roller rockers with Crane High performance cam kit
Dual 2.5" Exhaust Flowmaster Mufflers.
Auto tranny with stall converter and shift kit.
Detroit Locker rear end
Single Plane Semi-high rise intake mainfold, ported.
Heddman 4-2-1 headers at the time. I switched back to the stock exhaust manifolds as it was too loud.
It shifts out of first at 63MPH in about 4 seconds if I can keep contact.
:D

It also caused me to get pulled over 22 times in one year. And it currently needs new tires and a new radiator and some other minor work. I will have to see if I have pics here.

Mercedes.
The mercedes isn't what its cracked up to be, look at the number. 230, a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder...
Even though the sky and solstice don't have much under the hood i like their styling.
Also at the end of the summer, a supercharged sky is coming out which will knock your socks off (supposedly).

The Mini Cooper S is also a neat little car, very speedy as well.

Id say:

1st: Supercharged Sky
2nd: Mini Cooper S
3rd: Sky
4th: Solstice
5th: Mini
6th: Mercedes

Re: help me pick my new ride

The new Mercedes S-Type looks pretty nice (so topgear says) but I don't think I can quite afford it :p

Re: help me pick my new ride

That one in the link is way overpriced, i know that a few years ago you could get them from the dealer for 20,000 us, i believe they started in canada,
I've been in one, they are so amazing, if your looking for a fun little thing to pound around in, thats the thing to do it.
So fast, yet you cant use it in the rain:(
One back tire= no traction in the rain.
Still, Get the T-Rex!

Re: help me pick my new ride

But two seats makes it slightly practical, but not too practical, he wants a weekend toy :)
Another problem with those is, you get hit, your pretty much dead...
I'd say get the sky :)

Re: help me pick my new ride

What the heck do ya want small girlie cars for :p If you're going to get a Pontiac, get a GTO...6.0L Gen IV LS2 V8. Now we're talking.

Honda S2000 is a nice ride; someone suggested a small Acura...good choice too.

Re: help me pick my new ride

Is he willing to pay 33,000 for the gto though, when i got me charger, it was teh gto or that, i went BIG for the charger :)

Re: help me pick my new ride

Price tag, yup. Last 'big' anything I owned, if even temporarily, was a 5.7L V8 Roadmaster. I smote many ricers that week :p

Re: help me pick my new ride

it's the gxp, turbo charged and really a monster...260 horesepowe/260 torque

0-60 in 5.5, rock solid ride, sticks like glue, slowest I ever felt doing 120...@120 I thought I was doing 70 or 80

mine, mine mine

I didn't take a camera and this terrible shot was telephone at night

the car is the one on the right, I'm the one on the left

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
