A Japanese overclocker has managed to overclock Intel Pentium 4 670 microprocessor to 7.132GHz and even run certain benchmarks on the system that was cooled down by liquid nitrogen.:eek:

saw this on slashdot just now... and engadget the other day i believe.
1 million digits of PI in 18 seconds..

he might as build a cluster less heat more efficiency... i think
 
ok my comp just frooze up trying to calculate pi to 1 million digits
says its going to take 5 hours? maybe thats 5 minutes... i cant tell because its not moving. p4, 3.2 ghz. hehe

edit: 2 minutes to do 100,000
 
heeh the guy should just get an athlon 64 fx57, costs less and gives about the same performance :D
