I have 6 pci slots on my mobo(Abit kt7A),only 2 are being used.No1-Modem,No2-sound card, can I move either to another slot to give a bit of space(heat?),what are the pitfalls if any?and what is the procedure?
    Cheers

Should'nt have any real problems...unless the sharing of some IRQ's conflict..but using PCI slots 1 and 3 should work for ya....even though I don't think a heat problem is any results of a Modem and Sound Card

just have your pci cards on the bottom half of the board to give your agp card some breathing room. the pci cards don't need any kind of cooling but your video card does.

I thought so,the top pci is very close to agp slot(graphics card).
    Cheers
