password protect

    Is there any way to lock win XP with a password to prevent unauthorized access. One password to lock all accounts.:confused:

    Two ways to do this, really:

    1. If you want it shut off, then log on as Admin and then Hibernate

    2. If you just want to lock it down, just hit Win+L and the Lockdown screen will come up (it looks like the Classic login screen).

    *cough* reset button *cough*. Just disable the accouts you don't want

    the item on the front page should do it, the one entitled
    Add an Icon to Quick Launch bar to lock the PC

    you may have to have a pasword for you account
