P4 533MHz ---> 256 or 512?

Discussion in 'General Hardware' started by Cannibal Corpse, Sep 23, 2002.

  1. Dear All,
    Before you answer the above question, does the 400MHz do nicely in the future? If so, which CPU should I get?

    If not, should I get a P4(533) 256 or 512 then?

    Also, I have made up my mind to get the Abit IT7-MAX2 (DDR) so I think a PC 3200 would do nicely, don't you think? DDR400 is not 'officially' endoresed by intel yet, had it?

    Thanks in advance.

    DDR 400 has not been launched yet. if you must go with a P4, get a P4 2.8(533fsb) and 512 L2 cache, then again thats just my opinion

    for me.. i would go for a P4 2.2 GHz or higher (computer parts are expensive here) with a 512 cache.. bundle it with 512 MB of ram and i think it's gonna be a speed demon.. it's just my opinion
