Yes perris it is. This was released 3 weeks ago and is a fantastic update to a already excellent firewall! Well worth the small price.

Which is totally false. As I have said before OP 1 had issues but it's not a valid claim to state 2.x has a high level of bugs, the thousands of users that own Outpost seem to have little issue with it.

    leedogg Gojyone kawaiiiiiiii!

I tried outpost a few months ago, and it seemed to assume certain traffic to allow/block...i.e. it was allowing or blocking things without prompting me. Not knowing if it was blocking something really posed a problem for me.

yep its got its fair share of problems;)

last i tried was v2.1.. failed too many tests, BSOD'd my laptop, so went back to a real one..

funny thing is, agnitum actually charge for it..

Thats what the log and real time reporting are for.

    Anyway, to each his own.

Would be interesting to hear the results of your tests KC.

No, I disagree with that... no wonder ;)

I use and love Sygate's Personal Firewall Pro (never used the Free version...). For those interested, a new Pro version is due next month, version 5.6.x (5.5.2710 now).
    39$, that's cheap, I think.

Both are good, if someone doesn't like the one they seem to like the other! I think they are pretty much equal in performance when pitted against testing, at least they were last year when I last did a side by side.

I still think of you as a OP man but its KAV where we have an alliance :)

    Outpost I think :)

What features does it have say over NIS '03? I'm just curious.

As I am thinking of booting NIS when my sub runs out next year and moving over to OP or SG

It still works out cheaper if you buy your licence from the US site, £21 :)
  19. Khayman

Khayman I'm sorry Hal... Political User Folding Team

its actualy slightly more expensive, if you continue with a purchase of the $39.99 package from the US site you get this message
"European Union residents pay EUR 45.94 / USD 45.94 (incl. 15% VAT)."
    which is about £24

    just to pick hairs :)
