Outlook Express and Norton 2003

I just installed Norton 2003 and now it takes forever for Outlook Express to open. Anyone know of a way to fix this?

Well I found out thats its because I renamed messenger in order to keep it from loading. Now I guess my ? is how do I keep messenger from loading and keep systemworks 2003.

Renaming Messenger is what's slowing down OE, not NSW. The proper way to delete messenger is:

start
run
type: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
enter
restart

Also, you can disable IM scannng in NAV.

Well OE opened just fine before I installed Norton 2003 with messenger renamed. I have also disabled the IM scanning and it makes no diff.

use the command to remove the messemger or use the attached vbscript. It will remove messenger and outlook will still start at normal speed.
