Outlook 2000 backup to a .pst file

Hi all,

I've searched the forums and found a few threads about this, but can't find an answer to this question:

If I backup my Outlook inbox to a .pst file (using the Import/Export options)... reformat... and then re-import the file back into Outlook, WILL MY ATTACHMENTS BE THERE?!!

I'm going to reformat this morning - as soon as I can - but I'll have to go through saving important attachments before I do it if the attachments aren't preserved by the backup.

Prompt replies appreciated!

cheers,

Yes they will.

You probably know this already, but you can also backup/restore your contacts this way.

static99 is quite correct !!

When you do the backup it will show you a folder list, if you choose personal folders and then tick include subfolders you wont accidenatly miss anything.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
