if you have a program you are constantly launching and closing, like your email client, create a keyboard shortcut so you don't have to find the icon every time
Right-click the desktop shortcut, and then click Properties.
On the Shortcut tab, click in the Shortcut Key box.
use an any f key that you don't already use, and it's a one key shortcut
if you hit any other key, the shortcut will become control alt+ whatever key you choose
to undo, just hit the backspace key while active in that shortcut box...bing, back to the default behavior
