One more....internet speed boosters

Thought I may as well ask....

I've noticed a number of freeware downloads promising greatly increased download speed etc.

I am on 56k dial connection.

Do these things work? Any recommendations?

Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) is very good, it has a resume function so you can stop a download and then start it again another time. It has options for the type of dialup, and adjusts its speed accordingly.

I've found that infact does download quicker, as I'm on lowly 56k too.
