Doing a clean reinstall of WinXP on a friends machine...do I need to update with SP1 before I upgrade with SP2??

or can I just apply SP2 and ignore SP1??

LOL....thought I would ask to see if anyone knew the answer, before I really screwed thing sup...

You can go directly to SP2 to the best of my knowledge.

You can go directly from XP to XP SP2. SP2 bundles all the updates and changes into one package so SP1 is obsolete and unecessary.
