I really can't imagine what will happen with dual Athlon PC
(2 X 1800 XP's f.e) in the 3Dmark score.
And all these with the price of one P4.
ts ts ts..

video settings

I put that nvidia max tweaker on it and I did some more mobo stuff and got it to 8029. I think the HDD is not running up to its potential thought it got a very low PCmark 2002 HD score of 875. I was gonna try some of the tweaks mentioned here on the xp-erience tweak guide.

This is what will happen, http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3408389. With dual 1800 mp's and no tweakage anyway. No faster, maybe even slower than some, but I dare you to bog it down.:D

I'm really tired and I didn't read all the messages in this thread so forgive me if something similar has been asked.

I have a Pentium 4 1.4Ghz, Geforce 2 Mx/Mx400 (32Mb), Windows XP Pro with Detonator Drivers (28.32).

I'm currently getting 2600. Is this a good score?

Also, a trusted friend who recently got a new computer claims he gets 3000 and he only has a duron 1Ghz + Geforce 2 mx200. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Patrick

Didn't read the whole thread but here are my scores:

All default except for triple buffering and no overclocking.

Without FSAA 10, 474
With 4XFSAA 5,782
With 2xFSAA 8,664

It's no mystery, P4's outperform AMD when it comes to 3D (Gaming). You can read that anywhere. Oh by the way, 3DMark score = 11290. Should I get an AMD?:D

I used to have a GeForce 3 Ti 500 and it got 7520 on 3d mark. I sold it to a m8 (AMD 1.6) and bought the GeForce 4 Ti4600 and my score is now 9460. No tweaking involved. I am running the 29.40 drivers.

His score was just under 3000. Same card but minus 4520 points.

I got my new notebook a couple of weeks ago and I could not be happier...very solid performer in any app. I can run games all day long @ 1600x1200 w/ all settings peaked and it never loses a frame. Takes a small hit w/ 2x or Quinc AA but still very playable at 1280x1024. My average 3dMark 2001 SE score is about 5100 w/ new "franken-drivers" that allow access to powermizer. Anyonve looking for a solid notebook for work and play, Dell's Inspiron 8200 is damn nice!

Yes you should, would save you a hell of alot of money.....Plus outpreform ANY intel chip at same (let alone Higher) Clock Speed.

Ok, here is my 3DMark2001 SE score ->> Click me!

Here is my PCMark2002 Semi Pro ;) score->> Click me!

Do not laugh since this PC I have now is only temporary :)

Running at the system specs below, with an ATI Radeon 7500 64mb DDR, I got a score of 5648 on 1024x768x32.

When it comes down to it, video performance is somewhat determined by CPU scaling.

Goku man your score is extremely low.
Why dont you upgrade or overclock?

What kind of Video card are you getting?

That's what makes the biggest difference in 3d benchmark scores, and in gaming.

And if you haven't already bought the stuff Goku, may I suggest going with a 7200 RPM harddrive...could get one slightly smaller for about the same price. Put your OS on the 7200 drive not the 5400.

If you havnt already purchased the equipment check out ---->NEWEGG
I have built numerous systems ordering from there and have NEVER had a problem with them, not to mention their prices are about the cheapst you are going to find.

just my .02

Agreed pricewatch you can find the cheapest, but I found alot of the vendors to be unrelilable. Make sure you read the fine print at pricewatch(shipping and handling ect.)

I would also go with the 10,000 rpm, but I imagine he is trying to keep it in a reasonable price range.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
