I have no problem with office 2000 on my box...love it

I would go to the ms site, and try to search for that error

Same here, no problem with Office 2k installed on XP.

Do you have all the patches and updates applied to your current setup? I would do a full scan of your HD for integrity issues via chkdsk/scandisk or some 3rd party utility app.

Do you have another copy of Office 2k that you can try and see if you get the same error?

    Hope this helps! :)

    Hi

Did you resolve your problem relating to loading office 2000...if so I would be grateful for the solution as I have the exact same issue.
    Thanks
