nView Options deactivated

i recently installed the latest nVidia drivers, and everything went fine the first time my pc booted up. i had the little nVidia icon in the taskbar, and i was able to use those transparency/send to/always on top options on any program (notepad, for example). for some reason, now i dont have any of that. ive enabled the nvcpl in msconfig, but it still doesnt work.
anyone know how to reactivate these options?

In the control panel/NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager are all necessary options chosen?
