NVidia refresh Rate Fix ?

Hi I just wanted to know...

Well the new Nvidia D drivers are out...Yippy!

So, my question is: The nvidia refresh rate fix that everyone is talking about these days. Is it a fix for all drivers? Or If I d/l the new drivers, will I need to patch it with the fix?

And what does the fix do.
And how do I know if I need it..

the fix needs to be modified slightly and made to work with each driver revision

the fix is because winXP defaults to a resolution of 60hz no matter what settings you have. if you don't have V-sync on this does not matter, or if you never play games in a resolution that is capable above 60hz it also doesn't matter.

For example I play most of my games in 1280x1024 where my max refresh is 60hz anyway
